<\/i><\/span><\/i><\/span>What are SiQuartz\u00ae quartzite conglomerates?<\/span><\/div>
SiQuartz\u00ae quartzite conglomerates are materials made of carefully selected silica and\nquartz sands and technological resin, which are subjected to intensive processing,\ncalibration and polishing. These materials meet international standards required in the\nlaboratory, food and home industries.\n<\/div>\n <\/div>

<\/i><\/span><\/i><\/span>What are the possible applications of SiQuartz\u00ae materials?<\/span><\/div>
SiQuartz quartzite conglomerates are intended for indoor applications only, where the possibilities of their use are practically unlimited. They are most often used for the\nproduction of kitchen countertops and islands, bathroom countertops, wall and bar\ncladding and flooring, as well as stairs or window sills, etc. If the material is used\noutdoors, the color stability of the material and other properties of the material cannot be guaranteed when exposed to the weather.<\/div>\n <\/div>

<\/i><\/span><\/i><\/span>May I place hot objects directly on the surface of the countertops?<\/span><\/div>
It is recommended to use insulating pads to place hot items on. The SiQuartz material is\nresistant to high temperatures, although care must be taken not to cause thermal shock.\nHot vessels removed directly from the oven or lifted off a burner can leave visible and\nirreversible damage to the material. Quartzite conglomerate is heat resistant and will not\nmelt or burn if a warm pot or other vessel is placed on it. Sudden and extreme changes in\ntemperature can burn out the resin that renders the material more flexible. The effect of burnout may be yellowing of the overheated surface or even cracking of the slab in this place. If you need to put something hot on the slab, use an insulating pad or wait a while for the surface of the cookware to partly cool down.<\/div>\n <\/div>

<\/i><\/span><\/i><\/span>Is SiQuartz\u00ae material hard?<\/span><\/div>
SiQuartz quartzite conglomerates are characterized by high hardness. They are resistant to normal impacts, however, in contact with larger or heavier tools, impacts may cause\ndamage, especially in the case of products with elements of mirrors and glass. Care should also be taken at the edges and corners of a slab.<\/div>\n <\/div>

<\/i><\/span><\/i><\/span>May I cut on the surface of a SiQuartz\u00ae worktop?<\/span><\/div>
High scratch resistance is another advantage of SiQuartz quartzite conglomerates.\nCutting on the surface of a countertop is allowed subject to due care, it is usually\nrecommended to use a cutting pad to make sure that we do not accidentally scratch the\nsurface of the countertop. Be particularly careful when using specialized knives and sharp\nobjects (steak knives, barbecue pins, etc.). If, nevertheless, you want to cut directly on the\nsurface of the countertop, avoid using ceramic knives and avoid hitting it with pointed\nedges of vessels, cutlery or other tools.<\/div>\n <\/div>

<\/i><\/span><\/i><\/span>How to clean the surfaces of SiQuartz\u00ae countertops?<\/span><\/div>
Thanks to virtually zero porosity, SiQuartz\u00ae quartzite conglomerates are very easy to\nkeep clean. They are resistant to all liquids and acidic substances, such as coffee, wine,\nlemon juice, olive oil, vinegar, coloring spices and cosmetics. Fresh stains resulting from\neveryday use can be washed off with a damp microfiber cloth using dishwashing liquid or\nkitchen soap. After wiping with the agent, rinse the surface thoroughly and dry it with a\ncloth or absorbent paper. Once in a while or after intensive use of the countertops, when\nthere are dried stains on them, it is worth while using stronger agents such as cleaning\nmilk, natural White Stone paste or other detergent recommended for stone surfaces.<\/div>\n <\/div>

<\/i><\/span><\/i><\/span>Should SiQuartz\u00ae quartzite conglomerates be impregnated?<\/span><\/div>
It is not recommended to apply additional protection in the form of impregnations to the\nsurface of SiQuartz countertops. Application of impregnation may cause the opposite\neffect to the intended one. Due to the fact that SiQuartz quartzite conglomerates are\ncharacterized by practically zero porosity, the impregnant applied to a countertop will not\nbe absorbed and will remain on its surface. As a result, the worktop may be more prone to\ngreasing and to increased formation of streaks and stains.<\/div>\n <\/div>

<\/i><\/span><\/i><\/span>What is the difference between SiQuartz\u00ae quartzite conglomerate and natural stone\nand sinters - large-format ceramics?<\/span><\/div>

All the above-mentioned materials differ in the production process, composition,\nproperties, processing possibilities, and therefore the price. Compared to other similar\nmaterials on the market, quartzite conglomerates are distinguished by higher strength\nand resistance to staining, lower absorbability, uniform structure and the possibility of\ncontinuous production. In comparison to granite, for example, quartzite conglomerate\nshows similar properties, but without the need to impregnate the surface, which is\nnecessary for natural stone.<\/p>
